Contact the Clinic and Book an Appointment
Booking at Dr. Shahid Islam Dental Clinic takes a minute. Phone, WhatsApp or email the clinic, say briefly what the problem is, and you will be offered a time in the next suitable session. This page has every detail you need: numbers, address, hours and a map.
You can also book through the clinic's own website at drshahidislam.com/contact. Whichever route you use, it reaches the same clinic team.
What to mention when you book
A few details help the clinic reserve the right amount of time for you:
- What the problem is, in your own words: pain, a broken tooth, a check-up, braces advice, and so on.
- How long it has been going on, and whether there is swelling or pain that disturbs your sleep. Mention these clearly, because urgent problems are prioritised.
- Any treatment already done on that tooth, and any X-rays you have. Bring them with you, or send photographs of them on WhatsApp beforehand.
- If you would like to see the clinic's female dentist, Dr Vinessa Gill, say so while booking and it will be arranged.
- If you are travelling from outside Karachi or from abroad, say where you are coming from and your dates, so appointments can be planned realistically. Our dental tourism guide explains how visiting patients plan treatment.

Clinic hours
| Day | Hours |
|---|---|
| Monday to Thursday | 4:30 PM – 9:00 PM |
| Friday | Closed |
| Saturday | 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM |
| Sunday | Closed |
Hours are set for working patients: weekday sessions run in the evening, and there is a Saturday afternoon session each week. If your problem is urgent and the clinic is closed, send a WhatsApp message describing it, and it will be picked up when the clinic reopens; for facial swelling with fever or difficulty breathing, seek emergency medical care without waiting.
Before your visit
Arrive a little before your appointment time, especially on your first visit, so there is no rush. Bring a list of any medicines you take regularly and mention medical conditions such as diabetes, heart conditions or pregnancy when you book or at the start of the appointment; these genuinely affect dental planning. If you are nervous about dental treatment, say so. The team would rather know and pace the appointment kindly than have you sit in silence. Afterwards, your treatment plan, quote and next steps will be explained before you leave, and the complete patient guide on this site describes the whole process if you want to read ahead.
